🩵 Memora is a companion.
Dementia is a growing global challenge, affecting over 55 million people worldwide, with numbers expected to reach 139 million by 2050. Cognitive decline, memory loss, and social isolation are key issues that can severely impact the quality of life for dementia patients. MemoCare was created to address these issues by offering a companion that reduces loneliness and stimulates memory recall.
MemoCare mimics the voices of the patient's loved ones, trained on past WhatsApp conversations, using OpenAI and Resemble AI to create personalized and emotionally resonant interactions. These conversations are designed to improve memory function, reduce feelings of loneliness, and brighten the patient’s mood. Additionally, MemoCare promotes physical activity by presenting daily challenges to encourage movement, using OpenCV and Google’s MediaPipe for exercise posture correction.
Our solution combines mental and physical health into a unified experience. By offering memory-enhancing interactions and exercise challenges, MemoCare addresses the root causes of cognitive decline.
Currently, we plan to further enhance MemoCare by incorporating AI avatars, deep fake technology for image and video-based content, and gamifying the recovery process. Our vision is to build a sense of belonging through a patient community, offering support and fostering engagement.
